The owner of this detached house in Calonge was clear that he wanted an ipe decking. It is a wood that has been used for a long time and is well known for holding up well outdoors.

The pool was already built. Accompanying it with a natural wood flooring brings warmth to the whole, as well as the comfort of being able to walk barefoot on a material that does not overheat in the sun.

The 200 m2 of platform are distributed in a pool area and another lounge area. In this project it was interesting to solve the transition between the flooring and the natural stone. Viktor Shundik, owner of Fusta Floor, cut the wood so that it would make the same pattern as the stone, and fit perfectly, leaving a space for expansion to adapt to movements caused by the weather.

You can see in this project the reddish tones of ipe, which brings great personality to any space. It is a wood from controlled forests in Brazil, which has environmental certifications. The owner was delighted with the final result, and we have started talking about a new project in this garden. We will tell you!
